To get better paintings, start with a sketch on paper. Trust me, it works. Also, for enviroments, use 1-2 point perspectives.

It's awesome how these don't look digital. You've captured the 'painting' aspect excellently. They just look like scans or pictures of actual ink and paint images.

I think i prefer the right one.. it gives off more of a feeling /atmosphere. Both are very nice
